Transfer to a Bank of Scotland ISA
Enjoy the benefits of our ISAs by transferring your existing ISA into a new Bank of Scotland ISA.
How to do it
We'll take it step by step.

You can use the app to transfer your ISA to Bank of Scotland on iOS or Android:
- Have an eligible ISA to transfer funds to.
- Launch the app.
- Open the Account Overview by tapping the three dots next to your ISA.
- In the Pay in and Out section, select Transfer ISA to us.
- Fill in the transfer form.
Investments can fluctuate, so seek independent advice if you’re unsure.
How to transfer to a Bank of Scotland cash ISA

- An ISA transfer can’t fund the monthly subscriptions to your Help to Buy: ISA.
- You can take out money whenever you want, but keep in mind that if you withdraw funds, you won’t get the Help to Buy: ISA bonus. Also, since you can only put away £200 each month, it’ll take longer to reach the maximum bonus.
- If you’re moving from another Help to Buy: ISA, you need to transfer the entire balance from that ISA to us. And don’t forget, you can only have one Help to Buy: ISA.
- New customers can’t get a Help to Buy: ISA since December 2019. Existing customers can still claim the Government bonus or transfer their ISA to us. Remember, you can only fund one cash ISA per tax year.

If you have an easy access cash ISA, you can renew it into another easy access ISA or a Fixed Cash ISA by logging in to Internet Banking.
Simply select the account you want to renew and select the ‘Renew Account’ option.

If you transfer a flexible ISA in full and have withdrawn any amount you paid in during an earlier tax year, you won’t be able to replace those withdrawals once the transfer process begins.

How to transfer to our Stocks and Share ISA or Investment ISA

- Simply log in and complete our online transfer form.
- After your transfer is complete, you’ll see your investments online immediately, and we’ll also send you a confirmation letter.
- You won't be charged to transfer in or out of Bank of Scotland.
- Simply log in and complete our online transfer form.

To transfer in to an Investment ISA log in to your Bank of Scotland Investment ISA by using Internet Banking. When you're logged into your account you can complete our transfer form. We'll take care of the rest.
