We'll take it step by step.
We'll text you when you need to add money to your account to cover a standing order. We'll also let you know when you're about to use or have started using an unarranged overdraft.
Our text alerts can help you track your savings account applications and manage your existing accounts. We’ll send text messages to your mobile phone once we have your up-to-date contact number.
We'll text you when you've started or are about to start using your arranged overdraft. We'll also let you know when we start charging you for using your arranged overdraft.
If you have declined text alerts in the past, you can change your mind and sign up.

Savings accounts
To receive alerts about your savings account applications, text ASTART to 82332. You can also receive alerts for existing savings accounts by texting BSTART to 82332.
Check with your phone provider to see if you’ll be charged to send SMS messages. We don’t charge you when we send alerts.

Youth and Basic accounts
If you have a Youth or Basic account, we'll only send you unarranged overdraft alerts.
When you're abroad
If you have an international number or you’re abroad, you can still get alerts. Just check with your service provider about any charges for sending or receiving texts.
App notifications
If you use our app, you can receive push notifications when your balance after pending falls to between £0 and £50. Turn these on or off in the app through your notification settings. Your choice will apply to all your current accounts.
